Trouble:Naming, Disavowal, & Infinite Self

Organized by Swiss Institute on the occasion of my exhibition Protect Me from What I Am, this conversation brought together writer Cyrus Dunham, myself, and writer and educator Abby Stein for a discussion titled Bible Trouble: Naming, Disavowal and the Infinite Self, addressing naming as an act of creation and the implications of the bible's narration of embodiment for gender non-conforming people.

As a speaker, I joined Cyrus Dunham and Abby Stein for a public conversation exploring how naming, disavowal, and biblical narratives of the body intersect with questions of gender and selfhood, held in conjunction with my exhibition at Swiss Institute.
